ESCAPE TO THE COUNTRY HOST BRIONY MAY WILLIAMS WAS ON A MISSION TO HELP A COUPLE FIND A NEW HOME IN OXFORDSHIRE OR WILTSHIRE MONDE MWITUMWA 18:03, 07 Mar 2025 Escape to the Country presenter

Briony May Williams was met with an emotional moment when a buyer was moved to tears by their dream home. In the episode aired on Friday (7th March), Briony embarked on a quest to assist a

couple in relocating from London to the rural settings of either Oxfordshire or Wiltshire, seeking a spacious abode for themselves and their two young sons. Davina, a PA and full-time mum,

along with her husband James, came prepared with a hefty budget of £800,000 for a three-bedroom house brimming with character, avoiding low ceilings. Their wish list included a sizeable

kitchen, a play area for the children, a large garden, and James's desire for an outdoor office/DJ space. READ MORE: Michael Sheen's net worth and how he affords to write off debt

property, which was set to complete within two to three weeks. Briony expressed her enthusiasm for the task at hand: "I do like a challenge. So we've got a lot to see and do and

not a lot of time to do it in", reports Gloucestershire Live. Determined to find the perfect match, Briony arranged several viewings that ticked all the boxes. Yet, it was one

particular property that stirred deep emotions in Davina. Overwhelmed by the beauty of the kitchen, Davina couldn't hold back her tears, apologising amidst her emotional reaction.

Briony offered comfort, saying: "Don't be sorry. I completely agree with you, isn't it stunning?" Davina confessed: "God, it was unexpected. I can totally imagine

being in here and actually being pleased to be here." Briony then turned to James and queried: "We know Davina loves it, what about you James?" Looking towards his spouse,

James responded: "I've been staying quiet because if you can find somewhere that she likes then that is job done. If she's happy, I'm happy." The home sparking their

conversation was a charming 18th-century stone cottage, boasting four reception areas, an extensive kitchen, three cosy bedrooms, and an attractive garden. Additionally, it featured an

outbuilding, a potential retreat for James. Article continues below What made it particularly enticing was the price - it was being offered at £65,000 under budget, with a market price of

£735,000. Although they were smitten with the house, the couple ultimately chose not to make an offer at the time, but expressed intentions to return to the area for further consideration.
