ONE DAY THIS WEEK WILL SEE A BIG DIFFERENCE IN THE FREEZING COLD TEMPERATURES FELT OVER THE LAST SEVERAL DAYS 10:37, 07 Jan 2025 After several days of freezing cold temperatures and wintery


showers, the weather is set to become milder this weekend with temperatures set to creep back up. The Met Office has issued dozens of weather warnings for snow and ice over the last week,


with many areas waking up to a blanket of snow on Sunday morning. However most of the snow was short lived and washed away by rain and sleet. Daytime emperatures over the last few days have


ranged from 1°C to 5°C degrees, while overnight temperatures have reached as cold as -5°C in some areas. Tuesday is set to be a milder today too, before temperatures drop off again until


Saturday when a big change will be noticed. According to the Met Office, temperatures of 4°C were recorded in Wales at 9am on Tuesday, however in mid Wales the temperature remained at -2°C

to 1°C while staying around 3°C in north Wales. By midnight, temperatures in south Wales will range from 1°C to 0°C. WEDNESDAY Early morning temperatures on Wednesday will get as cold as


-2°C. By 10am on Wednesday temperatures will rise to between 2°C and 4°C before rising to a max of 5°C by the afternoon. By midnight, temperatures will range from -2°C and 0°C to a high of


4°C in Anglesey. THURSDAY Very similar start to Thursday morning with temperatures of between -3°C and -1°C across most of the country at 4am. Anglesey remaining the warmest across the


country with a temperature of 3°C. By mid morning temperatures will remain cold, ranging from -1°C in mid Wales to 1°C-2°C in the south. Midnight temperatures will be in the same range,


dropping to -3°C in some mid Wales towns. FRIDAY Another cold start to Friday morning with temperatures ranging between 2°C and -2°C across Wales. Highs of around 4°C will be reached by 3pm


with lows of 2°C. Friday night is the first night this week we likely will not see a drop below 0°C, with temperatures remaining fairly mild at midnight. In Anglesey there will likely be a


high of around 5°C while Newotn will see a low of 1°C. SATURDAY Saturday morning is where the change to milder temperatures will start to be felt. At 6am temperatures will range from 6°C in


Anglesey to 3°C in Cardiff. West Wales areas will also see milder temperatures of 6°C at this time. As the day goes on temperatures will continue to rise, with a high of 8°C in Cardigan at


midday, and 6°C in Cardiff. By 3pm thins will feel even warmer, with 9°C expected in Pembroke, 8°C in Carmarthen, 8°C in Swansea and 6°C in Monmouth. Overnight temperatures won't drop


as dramatically as they have this week, with Swansea maintaining a temperature of 6°C at midnight, Cardiff 4°C, Holyhead 6°C and Newtown 3°C. SUNDAY Article continues below Sunday will see


similar temperatures to Saturday, with midday ranging from 6°C in Cardiff to 9°C in Pembroke. By 3pm it will be even milder with 7°C in Cardiff, and 7°C in usually colder spots like Newtown


and Builth Wells. Sunday evening temperatures won't drop as dramatically as recent days staying around 7°C in Cardiff and 9°C in St David's at 9pm. At midnight temperatures will
