THEY WERE SHOT DEAD IN COLD BLOOD OUTSIDE AN IRISH PUB 15:16, 01 Jun 2025 Two British men gunned down in Spain in a horrific shooting have been named as infamous Scottish gangsters.

Underworld sources say that Ross Monaghan and Eddie Lyons Jnr are victims of the brutal gangland execution in the Costa Del Sol. The pair - who are top members of the Lyons crime clan - are

said to have been shot outside Monaghan's pub, in Fuengirola. Terrified expats and holidaymakers looked on in shock as a masked gunman reportedly jumped out a vehicle and fired rounds

at the entrance to the bar. It is understood the shootings are linked to Scotland's ongoing gangland war. Monaghan is registered as the owner of Monaghan's pub which looks onto the

enjoying a drink after the Paris Saint-Germain vs Inter Milan Champions League final which was shown on the big screens in the bar, Daily Record reports. A car is said to have screeched to a

halt outside the bar before the gunman fired shots and then fled in the same vehicle driven by an accomplice. Authorities in Spain say the first victim was shot in the chest, while the

second was shot in the chest and abdomen. The government's sub-delegate in Malaga Javier Salas confirmed the two victims were Scottish. Chilling images from the scene show a man lying

lifeless on his back in shorts and a T-shirt by a drinks and meal blackboard on an outside terrace at the Irish bar. In other images, police and paramedics can be seen surrounding the body

of one victim, thought to be the same man, after he was covered with a blanket. There are no reports of any arrests yet - but police set up roadblocks in the area after the shooting to try

to catch the culprit. The bar was owned by Monaghan, who fled to the Costa Del Sol in 2017 after he was the victim of a gun attack outside a Glasgow primary school. He is listed as the

proprietor of the bar in an online business directory. Monaghan was cleared of the murder of notorious Glasgow hood Kevin 'Gerbil' Carroll, who was shot dead in a gangland

Monaghan was also cleared of attempting to defeat the ends of justice by disposing of the two guns used in the shooting and torching the getaway car. In August 2017, Monaghan and Eddie Lyons

Jnr were cleared of being involved in a street attack on three men outside the Campsie bar in Bishopbriggs. The ambush left one of the victim's ears hanging off. But the case collapsed

after prosecutors withdrew the charges against them following two days of evidence. The killings come amidst a violent gang war which has been raging in Scotland since March. The feud first

erupted following a fallout between rival gangsters after a £500k stash of cocaine was reportedly swiped from Dubai-based Mr Big, Ross McGill. The drugs were said to have been taken by

caged Edinburgh kingpin Mark Richardson's foot soldiers sparking a series of violent attacks on homes and businesses. Mr Big, who was later revealed as former Union Bears capo McGill,

waged war on Richardson and his associates - including the Daniels crime clan in Glasgow. Article continues below Mr Big's enforcers, a faceless and frightening group going by the name

of Tamo Junto (TMJ), have carried out a series of fire bombings and other vicious attacks on homes, businesses and cars associated with Richardson. A well-placed source previously said the
