11-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle after it mounted onto the kerb in the Inverness Shopping Park at around 3.15pm. The collision took place at the crossroads zebra crossings in


Eastfield Way next to Hollywood Bowl and Pizza Hut. It is understood that the youngster suffered a sore ankle, but was otherwise unhurt and did not require medical treatment, reports the


Inverness Courier. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.15pm on Sunday, May 25, we received a report of a collision involving a car and an 11-year-old female pedestrian on


Eastfield Way, Inverness. “The girl did not require medical treatment. Enquiries are ongoing.” Yesterday, in a separate incident, we reported that a Scots schoolboy is in a "serious


condition" in hospital after being hit by a car near an school in Edinburgh. The seven-year-old was struck by a vehicle on Ferry Road in the capital at around 6.30pm on Friday night. It


is understood the crash took place near Oaklands Primary School. He was rushed to the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People where he remains in a serious but stable condition. Cops


remain at the scene and a cordon has been erected while they carry out full enquiries. An investigation has also been launched into the crash. Images from the scene show several police cars


in the residential area and police tape cornering off the scene. A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "We were made aware of a collision involving a car and a seven-year-old male


pedestrian which happened on Ferry Road in Edinburgh shortly after 6.35pm on Friday, 30 May. "The boy has been taken to the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People for treatment.
