Liverpool have launched a huge £109million bid to try and secure the services of Florian Wirtz. The Reds have moved into pole position for the German, appearing to beat Bayern Munich and
Manchester City to his signature. And Arne Slot has now, according to reports, offered a "top end" amount for the midfielder. According to The Athletic, Liverpool have launched a
€130m bid which they see as a top-end amount. The fee is said to be compromised of a guaranteed fee and potential add-ons. Wirtz opened talks with Liverpool last week after communication
between the two clubs had already been instigated with the Reds locked in negotiations with full-back Jeremie Frimpong. The report adds that Wirtz has already travelled to England to look
houses should the deal proceed. Bayern were previously believed to be favourites in efforts to land the German talent. Bild reported that Bayern had been in secret discussions with
Wirtz's father, Hans-Joachim, believing the forward was open to remaining in Germany for a further four years. However, last Friday, Hans-Joachim told Bayern a deal would need to be
concluded before his son's summer holiday, but the Bavarian giants felt under no pressure, expecting negotiations for a 2026 transfer instead. DON'T MISS A THING WITH FOOTBALL

in Germany for Leverkusen - emerging as one of the nations top talents under Xabi Alonso. He was part of the Leverkusen side that went unbeaten in the Bundesliga last season, also winning
the DFB Pokal, but losing out in the Europa League final. Leverkusen surrendered their Bundesliga crown this season, with Bayern Munich retaking their spot at the summit.
