Interviews and assessments for these types of benefits will be done over the phone. Previously, claimants would usually need to go to a Jobcentre Plus to be assessed but this has been halted
due to coronavirus. A claimant may still need to go to a Jobcentre Plus in certain exceptional circumstances, such as the need to collect payment exception service vouchers. The government
also warned that due to the disease, it may take longer than usual to process an application.
