A dozen famous faces left their comfortable lifestyles behind them to take on the gruelling challenges. The 12 celebrities, who this year consist of Ulrika Jonsson, Kerry Katona, Alexandra
Burke, Wes Nelson, James Cracknell, Shanaze Reade, Ore Oduba, Aled Davies, Vicky Pattison, Saira Khan, Kieron Dyer and Jake Quickenden, were pushed to their limits while filming the dramatic
SAS: Who Dares Wins episodes for Channel 4. Speaking to Express.co.uk, they discussed the most challenging parts, and most of them agreed the terrain challenge, which left them exhausted,
cold and covered in mud, took the most resilience. The gruelling race across the mountains was something all the contestants found the most difficult. Welsh Paralympian athlete Aled is used
to performing physically difficult tasks under pressure, but even he admitted the terrain was strenuous. The 29-year-old said: "Definitely the terrain [was the hardest]. Uneven ground,
steep incline. "Then you're up to your knees in mud, and you're up to your waist and water." READ MORE: SUSANNA REID’S APPEARANCE DISTRACTS GMB VIEWERS He continued:
"And it's just so unpredictable and unforgiving. You can never really prepare for that, especially when you've got your boots or your clothes, or your backpack, it's
tough." In 2012, Aled became the world record holder of the F42 shot put and in the 2012 Summer Paralympics he took home the bronze medal in shot put and gold in the discus. The athlete
was born with an extremely rare condition called hemimelia, which affects his right leg. He explained how his disability drove him to take part in the series. But most of them seemed to
agree the terrain challenge left them feeling the most drained. "No one can prepare for the terrain," Kieron explained. "The terrain was the hardest thing to do. "It was
just the burner, it zapped all your energy, gave you jelly legs. "You could do all the training in the world but if you don't get the right terrain you will struggle." The
team must also have become hurt quite a bit, with Kieron revealing some scenes had to be cut because of it, including a challenge which saw them having to get into pairs. "They had to
cut the pairs out because of the injuries and stuff," he commented. "There was a good bit when someone I got partnered with - you have to tell them their weaknesses as an
individual. "You have to look them in the eye. And I say to my partner - I say 'Your biggest weakness is your arrogance'. "And that would have been good TV to watch - I
don't think that will be in." _CELEBRITY SAS: WHO DARES WINS CONTINUES ON SUNDAY AT 10PM ON CHANNEL 4._
