Parents worried about unsupervised New Year’s Eve parties can send their children to a bash put on by the Brea Community Center. Sixth- to ninth-grade Brea students are invited to attend the
event called Nine-D-9 Rage that begins at 9 p.m. Dec. 31 and ends 7 a.m. the next day. Students remain at the center at 695 E. Madison Way throughout the adult-supervised party, and can
gobble sandwiches and other munchies as they play games including pool, basketball and soccer. The event also includes arts and crafts activities, scavenger hunts, obstacle courses, bingo,
movies and dancing. Preregistration is required for the $25 event. Information: (714) 990-7151.
