There is a large emergency service presence in attendance after reports of a flat fire. Our reporter is on his way to the scene now. Jawad Mahmood witnessed the incident. He told the ECHO
that there are around 10 fire engines in attendance. Marsh House Lane in Warrington is closed after a fire at a residential property. A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service
said: "Shortly after 17:20 North West Fire Control received multiple reports of a fire in the stairwell of flats on Marsh House Lane. Crews wearing breathing apparatus have been
deployed to tackle the fire. Please avoid the area if you are able to do so. "A number of road closures are in place to allow emergency services access to the incident. Firefighters
wearing breathing apparatus are working in teams to tackle the fire from the exterior of the building. A number of people have been rescued from dwellings on the upper storeys of the
four-storey building." Fire engines from Warrington, Birchwood, Lymm, Knutsford, and Penketh fire engines are at the scene. Firefighters are being assisted by the aerial ladder platform
from Lymm Fire Station. The ECHO has tried to contact Cheshire Police for more information.
