LOUNGERS ACROSS THE COUNTY ARE CLOSING FOR A SPECIAL REASON BEFORE REOPENING AS NORMAL THE FOLLOWING DAY 12:27, 03 Jun 2025 Two café bars will shut for one day next week in Liverpool for a
massive staff party. All Lounges, including on Lark Lane and Liverpool's waterfront, will shut their doors on Monday, June 9. The annual staff gathering is called LoungeFest and has
been running since 2013. It's the company's way of thanking the more than 9,000 staff for their hard work and dedication throughout the year. It means that on Monday, Milo Lounge
on Lark Lane and Brasco Lounge on Mann Island will both be closed. They will reopen as usual on Tuesday, June 10. Guy Youll, Loungers’ Chief People Officer said: “Back in 2013, Loungers was
one of the first in the hospitality industry to host a party like this and I’m delighted we’ve kept close to our roots by continuing every year getting bigger and better. "Our teams
work incredibly hard all year round so LoungeFest is our way of celebrating them and showing how much we appreciate the dedication and care they put in every day at all our sites to deliver
great hospitality. It’s going to be quite a party!” Article continues below This year’s LoungeFest, being held at Ragley Hall in Warwickshire, has an ‘At the Movies’ theme where team members
will be able to enjoy fairground rides, DJ sets, music stages hosting performances from bands and Loungers’ staff, games, activities and a huge array of food and drink stalls…all completely
free. Brasco Lounge can be found next to the Museum of Liverpool, between the Albert Dock and the Liver building, making it a go-to spot for tourists and locals alike. The informal
neighbourhood café boasts an outdoor terrace, where guests can enjoy views overlooking the water while they choose from the likes of their pulled brisket chilli, slow cooked chipotle beef
brisket, black beans and mature cheddar served with spicy rice, spring onion, red chilli and sour cream or try some tapas including a crispy fried cod taco - a soft tortilla topped with
guacamole, lettuce, pickled red onion, red pepper ketchup, black beans, coriander and crispy fried cod. On those colder nights, guests can sit inside and appreciate the indoor space as it
is flooded with light from what is essentially one big glass wall. The dog friendly venue even has a genuine old stone Liver Bird shield on the wall behind the bar which was salvaged from
the Liver Building when a wall leading to the car park was demolished. Also part of the Lounges group, Milo Lounge is one of the only chain establishments that you'll find among Lark
Lane's bars. The bar and restaurant is often filled with families enjoying a lazy brunch and friends sharing a drink on the outdoor seating, situated at the end of the lane that's
closest to Sefton Park. The drinks menu is similar to one you'll find in any other Lounges establishment nationwide - and it's a great spot on a summer's day when the windows
get flung open to turn the front space into a hybrid of the indoors and outdoors. Article continues below The ECHO's tried and tested guide to Lark Lane's bars says "the
accommodating staff and extensive food menu makes it a great choice if you're looking for a venue to spend a couple of hours in".
