Bruno Fernandes has a huge decision to make which could change Manchester United's future under Ruben Amorim. _The Manchester Evening News _understands that United's captain is
seriously considering leaving the Reds for Al-Hilal this summer. Fernandes's agent, Miguel Pinho, has held discussions with the Saudi Pro League side about a possible £100million
transfer and the Reds have refused to rule out his possible sale. It is understood that United are relaxed about the situation, with the club prepared to listen to offers for any squad
member after they finished 15th in the Premier League, their worst top-flight finish since relegation in 1974. What happens next will be pivotal to United's 2025/26 campaign - a season
where the Reds' status as one of Europe's leading clubs is under threat. That's not to say they won't remain a big club, but after finishing so low in the top-flight,
teams like Newcastle and Chelsea, never mind Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City, are becoming more fashionable to support for younger fans across the globe. It's why selling
Fernandes is such a bad idea after the season United have had. Imagine where they would have been without him? It's not a stretch to suggest that they could have been looking over their
shoulders at the Premier League's bottom three. Without the Portuguese playmaker's leadership on and off the pitch, without his creativity and goalscoring output next season, a
side in transition under their inexperienced head coach could be dragged into the unthinkable scenario of a relegation battle. It would be asking a lot of Matheus Cunha to fill that huge
void. Selling him in a year, when he has just one year left on his contract, would make more sense. If United remain a mess on and off the pitch, that decision will likely be a lot easier
for the player as well. For now, though, with so much to do this summer, the last thing they need is to sell their best player. There is too much at stake for United to get this wrong and
their recent track record with signings offers no confidence that they would spend the £100m from his sale wisely. --- _Here at The Manchester Evening News, we are dedicated to bringing you
