Thoughtful essay on the global supply chain and why reshoring may grow but the overall trend towards a globally integrated economy will continue. Good flow overall and excellent use of
sources within each paragraph to back up your claims. Good paragraph unity as well.
The main issue was that the thesis felt a bit unfocused in the end. In other words, it seemd to be the argument that the benefits of a global supply chain are far too vast to outweigh risk
factors. However, the paper didn't quite clearly identify those benefits from the start or trace out their full implications (you mention GVCs and recovery from depression, but I think an
overall argument about global economic integration was needed to help make sense of these). The paragraph on reshoring was excellent, but might have been better integrated into the overall
argument of why such reshoring does not constitute a true threat to global supply chains.
Sophisticated work that shows you are ahead of the game in terms of developing writing skills--especially critical analysis and research. With a tighter focus and narrative, the next paper
will improve quite a bit! Very good work!
