ABSTRACT SOME heterologous antilymphocyte serum (ALS) and plasma (ALP) preparations have immunosuppressive properties1–5 while others, produced in an identical manner, completely lack this
activity5. At present, no in vitro standardization test correlates well with the immunosuppressive potency of ALS or ALP as determined by its ability to prolong allograft survival5–7. The
