Tejashwi Yadav, the deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, described Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s accusations of corruption as a conspiracy hatched by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Earlier Kumar had

asked Yadav to either come clean of corruption or tender his resignation. In his defence Yadav said, “People are trying to trap me in a case when I was 14 years old. I didn’t even have a

beard or a moustache then. Can a 14-year-old child indulge in corruption?” “The FIR against me is political vendetta, a conspiracy by Amit Shah and PM Modi,” Yadav added. Kumar had held a

meeting with legislators and his party’s office-bearers in Patna to discuss the CBI’s charge against Lalu Prasad and his family, including the deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav. It was after this

meeting that Yadav’s guards beat up journalists outside the Bihar Secretariat, where Yadav was supposed to speak to media persons. “The attack on media persons clearly displays Tejashwi’s

arrogance,” Rajdeep Sardesai, _India Today’s _consulting editor, was quoted as saying by _ABP news._
