EverWonder Children’s Museum is pleased to announce its calendar for June 2016. The museum has events for the entire family. The event calendar is subject to change without notice. Please

Tuesday - Saturday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Admission is $7.00 per person, and children under the age of 1 years old are free. Museum members are free.
Parking at the museum is also free. Introducing STEAM Mondays! Starting on Monday, June 13th, EverWonder will also be open on Mondays from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. STEAM Mondays will feature
different summer inspired science, technology, art, and math activities. Admission for STEAM Mondays will be $12.00 to $15.00 per child, and includes admission to the museum for the child.
Parents will not be charged for participating in STEAM Mondays but, will be charged admission into the museum. FIND OUT WHAT'S HAPPENING IN TRUMBULLFOR FREE WITH THE LATEST UPDATES FROM
PATCH. Story Lab for Young Explorers meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 am to 11:00 am. This 30 minute program of STEM themed stories, activities, and crafts takes place in the
EverWonder classroom. Parents must stay with their children during the program. Program is free with museum admission. SPECIAL ACTIVITIES Tuesday, May 31, 2016 to Sunday, June 26, 2016 Art
Lab: Tissue Paper Painting Collages and Engineering Challenges Starting on Tuesday, May 31st, come check out our new Art Labs, Tissue Paper Painting Collages and Engineering Challenges. In
Tissue Paper Painting Collages, our young scientists will use tissue paper and paint to make beautiful collages. In Engineering Challenges, our young scientists will learn about the concept
of design while completing different challenges. Wednesday, June 1, 2016 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Children’s Day Come celebrate Children’s Day at EverWonder Children’s Museum. On Wednesday, June
1st, all children will receive a $1.00 off admission. Friday, June 3, 2016 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Science Lab: Salt Water Density Experiment Calling all scientists! What happens when objects
are emerged into salt water? Will an egg float or sink? On Friday, June 3rd, our young scientists will learn about density through placing objects of similar size but, different weight into
salt water and fresh water. Saturday, June 4, 2016 10:00 am to 11:00 am Weekend Workshop: Hybrid Birdhouses Calling all birders! Join EverWonder’s first drop-off Weekend Workshop. On
Saturday, June 4th, come decorate your own EverWonder hybrid birdhouse. EverWonder’s birdhouses are unique because they are both birdhouses and feeders. Our young scientists will first paint
and decorate their birdhouses, and then attach bird seed to the roof of the birdhouse to make sustainable hybrid birdhouses. Weekend Workshop costs $6.00 for members and $7.00 for
non-members. Weekend Workshop does not include museum admission. For children ages 5 and up. Supplies are limited. To register, please call EverWonder at 203-364-4009 or stop by EverWonder’s
front desk. Wednesday, June 8, 2016 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Science Lab: Walking Water Experiment On Wednesday, June 8th, our young scientists will move water from two cups into one cup without
spilling a drop. Our scientists will learn about water absorption and distribution by watching two different cups of water combine through watching the water “walk” from each of the end
cups into the middle cup. Saturday, June 11, 2016 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Connecticut Open House Day The Connecticut Office of Tourism is sponsoring the 12th annual Connecticut Open House Day on
Saturday, June 11th. The one-day statewide event is designed to showcase Connecticut’s diverse world of history, art, and tourism. In honor of Connecticut Open House Day, EverWonder will
offer free admission to the museum from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and half-off museum admission from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. To qualify for any Open House Day special, at least one person in each
visiting group must show a valid Connecticut driver’s license. Monday, June 13, 2016 10:00 am to 5:00 pm STEAM Mondays Starting on Monday, June 13th, EverWonder will also be open on Mondays

2016 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Flag Day Come celebrate Flag Day at EverWonder on Tuesday, June 14th. Our young scientists will design their own flag and learn about the history of the American
flag. Friday, June 17, 2016 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Science Lab: Water Refraction Experiment Come bend light with EverWonder on Friday, June 17th. On June 17th, our young scientists will learn
about refraction through using water as a magnifying glass to bend and reflect different images. Through experimenting with refraction, our young scientists will also learn about light rays
and magnification. Sunday, June 19, 2016 11:00 am to 5:00 pm Art Lab: Father’s Day Come celebrate Father's Day at EverWonder Children's Museum. Fathers will receive 1/2 off
admission on Sunday, June 19th from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Our young artists will have the opportunity to make a Father’s Day gift for dad while exploring the museum. We will be making hand
cards by tracing both hands onto paper and then cutting them out and using accordion paper to write a special message to dad. Monday, June 20, 2016 10:00 am to 5:00 pm STEAM Mondays STEAM

Lab: Dancing Fruit Experiment Calling all scientists! Come learn about density on Wednesday, June 22nd. On Wednesday, June 22nd, our young scientists will learn about the density of fruit
versus the density of liquid. Our young scientists will place fresh and dried fruit into fresh water and carbonated water. Our young scientists will observe the fruit react to the different
types of water. Can you guess which type of water will make the fruit dance? Monday, June 27, 2016 10:00 am to 5:00 pm STEAM Mondays STEAM Mondays will feature different summer inspired
science, technology, art, and math activities. For children ages 5 and up. Admission for STEAM Monday is $12.00 to $15.00 per child, and includes museum admission. Parents will not be
charged for participating in STEAM Mondays but, will be charged admission into the museum. ### Formed in January 2011 by a group of parents, EverWonder Children’s Museum (incorporated as
Newtown Children’s Museum, Inc.) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring children and families in Northern Fairfield County through the use of hands-on museum exhibits and
demonstrations. Museums hours are Tuesday – Saturday 10 am -5 pm and Sunday 11 am – 5 pm. The museum is located at 31 Pecks Lane Newtown, CT 06470. Regular admission is $7.00 for visitors
