Dr. Mahaba, from Minneapolis, Minn., has a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Biochemistry and Cellular and Molecular Biology at Winona State. Dr. Mahaba worked as a Research and


Development clinical analyst for several years in a research company, then went on to earn her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind


Franklin University of Medicine and Science in 2021. Dr. Mahaba completed her residency training at the Loyola Medical Center after completing her first year at the JMCAVAMC. She served as


the chief resident during her final year at Loyola. After her residency, she completed an ACFAS Certified Reconstructive Foot and Ankle surgery fellowship at Emory Midtown, Georgia. She


became a full-time attending at the JMCAVAMC in 2022. Dr. Mahaba is certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM) and Board Qualified with the American Board of Foot and Ankle


Surgery (ABFAS). She is a fellow of the American College of Podiatric Medicine and acts as a residency program evaluator for the Council on Podiatric Medical Education. Dr. Mahaba also


serves as adjunct faculty at the Department of Surgery at the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. She is also on the Scientific


Committee at the Georgia Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Mahaba is greatly involved in research and has published in the Journal of Vascular Medicine. She has participated in many poster


presentations with multiple podiatric organizations. In her free time, Dr. Mahaba loves spending time with her husband, son, and daughter, as well as traveling, reading, baking and trying


out new cuisines.
