Mr. Sharma was appointed as the Acting Assistant Medical Center Director for the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center (JBVAMC) in May 2024. As Acting Associate Medical Center Director, Mr. Sharma
has direct responsibility for the Biomedical Engineering Service, Emergency Management, Facilities Management Service, Facility Master Planning Section, Fleet Service, Integrity and
Compliance, Occupational Safety and Health (including Radiation Safety), Privacy, Veteran Transportation Service/ Beneficiary Travel, and Supply Chain Management Service. Prior to this
appointment, Mr. Sharma served as the Chief of Facilities Management Service for the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center. In this role, he oversaw master planning, capital projects, construction,
interior design, maintenance, and operation sections of the medical center and outpatient clinics. He also served as the Chief of Projects for the Baltimore and Loch Raven VA Medical
Centers. Additionally, he served as the Acting Health System Specialist (HSS) to the Associate Director for Operations for the VA Maryland Health Care System.
