Mr. Tucker was appointed as the SES Executive Director for the VA Finger Lakes Healthcare System in 2019. He oversees delivery of health care services to more than 33,000 Veterans across the
Finger Lakes region of New York and northern tier of Pennsylvania, including two Medical Centers and five Community Based Outpatient Clinics. Mr. Tucker joined VA in 1991 and has held
progressive leadership positions at the Bath and Canandaigua VA Medical Centers (VAMC). From December 30, 2021, to December 25, 2022, Mr. Tucker served as the Interim Executive Director at
the New York Harbor Healthcare System. New York Harbor is a 1A system providing comprehensive services to over 44,000 Veterans. Prior to being selected as the Executive Director for VA
Finger Lakes Healthcare System, he had served as the Interim Medical Center Director and as the Medical Services Care Line Manager at Bath and Canandaigua where he planned and managed the
delivery of medical services across facilities to achieve the organization's mission. Mr. Tucker received the 2008 Under Secretary for Health Award for Excellence in Social Work
Leadership and the 1999 Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary's Hands and Heart Award. He holds a Masters in Social Work from Marywood College and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology
from SUNY Cortland.
