David B. Vess, FACHE was appointed as the Associate Medical Center Director in March 2021. As Associate Medical Center Director, he provides executive leadership and direction of resource
management, facility management, environmental management, public safety, information management, prosthetics and supply chain activities. He is a Quadrad member responsible for the delivery
of health care for the 467-bed medical center. His Department of Veterans Affairs career began in 1995 and held positions within Medical Center, including and with the Veterans Integrated
Service Network and VA Central Office. Mr. Vess earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Belmont Abbey College, Belmont, North Carolina in 1994 and a Master of
Business Administration in Healthcare Administration from Baruch-CUNY/ Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, New York in 2005. He is board certified in healthcare administration and is a
Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
