Sheeba John was appointed assistant director for operations at VA North Texas Health Care System in February 2022. She manages several administrative services and sections and previously
served as the executive medical center director's executive assistant (2018-2022). Mrs. John has 15 years of experience in the health care field. She began her career at VA North Texas
in 2008 as a health systems management trainee. Her prior positions include health systems specialist for Performance Measures and supervisory health systems specialist, also known as
executive assistant to the director of VA North Texas. Mrs. John was the senior advisor to VA North Texas' executive leadership team, overseeing the Graduate Healthcare Administration
Training Program, managing day-to-day operations, executive level projects/initiatives, partnering with external and internal stakeholders such as congressional offices, and working on
national strategic goals. Mrs. John has competencies in clinical performance measures, including but not limited to Strategic Analytics for Improvement and Learning (SAIL), chaired and
served on health care system and VISN workgroups and committees. Mrs. John is a VISN17 Leadership Development Institute graduate, certified as a change management practitioner, Lean Six
Sigma trained, and a fellow of the Program Management cohort of 2021. Mrs. John graduated from The University of Texas at Austin, Texas, where she studied Human Development and Family
Sciences and graduated with a B.S. in 2005. From there, she conducted her graduate studies at the University of Houston-Clear Lake. She achieved a dual degree: Masters of Healthcare
Administration and Masters of Business Administration in 2009. She spends time with her husband and two sons in her spare time.
