Ms. Tate is currently serving as the Acting Associate Director for Janes A. Haley Veterans' Hospital and Clinics. Ms. Tate was appointed as Assistant Director of James A. Haley
Veterans’ Hospital, in November 2008. Mrs. Tate previously served as the VISN 10 Communications Manager. Programs under her direction were Internal and External Communication, Congressional
Affairs, Patient Satisfaction and Strategic Planning. Ms. Tate was past Chairperson, VHA Office of Communications Advisory Board and a member of the National Leadership Board’s
Communications Committee. She is a graduate of the Executive Career Field Training and Health Care Leadership Institute programs. Ms. Tate began her career with the Department of Veterans
Affairs more than 20 years ago as an Administrative Resident at the Dayton, Ohio VAMC. She subsequently held numerous staff and line positions at the Dayton and Cincinnati VA Medical
Centers. During her career, Ms. Tate also served as the Chief, Quality Management Service at the Dayton VAMC which included External Accreditation, Infection Control, Safety, Credentialing
and Privileging, and Utilization Management. She also served as Executive Assistant to the Director at the Cincinnati VAMC, which encompassed EEO, Strategic Planning, Director’s Performance
Management Coordination and Public Affairs. Ms. Tate holds a Masters in Healthcare Administration from Indiana University. She graduated from Purdue University with two degrees – Nursing and
Institutional Management. Ms. Tate is married and has two children.
