Longmont has sold out all the trees it planned to provide residents in this year’s Spirit of Arbor Day tree sale, city officials announced on social media Thursday. People could begin
emailing their orders for this year’s city tree on Monday, and people were advised earlier this month to arrange their purchases by April 11. However, the city ended this year’s sale of 170
trees after enough people called in by Thursday morning to arrange buying those trees, City Forester Brett Stadsvold said Thursday afternoon. A variety of trees were sold at below
wholesale cost of $50 each. The reserved trees are to be delivered to their purchasers the week of April 26. Originally Published: March 18, 2021 at 7:27 PM MDT
