This is the moment a "rude" and "abusive" danger driver was caught by police after driving over 100mph during a chase. Kenan Joseph, 23, was indicated to stop as he
travelled in his red Audi along the A64 near Bilborough Top. He failed to stop and led police on a chase, where he reached speeds of over 100mph and crashed into a number of vehicles in the
process. Dashcam footage of the chase, released by North Yorkshire Police, showed Joseph weaving onto the wrong side of the road and having a close call with a lorry. Officers brought his
vehicle to stop after using a stinger device to deflate the Audi's tyres on the A19 near Easingwold. Arresting officer, PC Scott Sharlotte of North Yorkshire Police's Specialist
Operations Unit, said: “On his arrest Joseph was rude and abusive and said he did not care that he put other road users in danger." Kenan Joseph, previously of Harehills, Leeds, was
jailed for 16 months after pleading guilty to dangerous driving, failing to stop after a collision, failing to provide a specimen for analysis, driving without insurance and possessing
cannabis. He was also banned from driving for three years and eight months, ordered to take an extended driving test before he can get his licence back, and ordered to pay compensation of
£1,340. PC Scott Sharlotte continued: “Now that he is in prison, he has time to reflect on that and should think himself lucky that the most serious charge he faced was for dangerous driving
and nothing more catastrophic. “We will not tolerate such driving and will use all of our specialist skills and equipment to deny criminals and dangerous drivers the use of the road.” FOR
